Last night, my father slipped, and may have broken his toe. My father is a diabetic, and as you may know, diabetics tend to have problems with their feet from poor circulation and neuropathy. Please pray that my father's foot heals quickly, and without any problems.

I got tagged by Enbrethiliel. I guess she's trying to get me to write or something. Alright.
1Total Number of Books I Own
I really have no clue. Not including college books, I'd say somewhere short of 50. I use the library a lot more than I buy.
2.The Last Book I Bought
The Innocence of Fr. Brown by G.K. Chesterton
3.The Last Book I Read
Blandings Castle and Elsewhere by P.G. Wodehouse
4. Five Books That Mean a Lot to Me
Saint Francis of Assissi by G.K. Chesterton
For me, this book turned St. Francis into a man of mystery and myth into an exciting and real saint with which I could relate to.
The Revenge of Conscience: Politics and the Fall of Man by J. Budziszewski
This book helped me put politics in it's proper place. But also, it helped me look at myself and how to change myself for the better. I'd put this on anybody's must own list.
Hop On Pop by Dr. Seuss
This is the first book I ever read by myself. I read it when I was two.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church
They don't call me Catholic Bob for nothing.
The Bible by God through Lots of People
Last, but certainly not least. The Good Book has a place in my every day life.
5. Tag five people, and have them do this on their blog.
Well, I don't know if anybody still reads this blog, but if they want to give it a chance, I tag Blurry Flurry, Dominus Illuminatio Mea, Catholic Ragemonkey, Mike Roesch and Rachel Jurado

Your dominant hues are cyan and blue. You like people and enjoy making friends. You're conservative and like to make sure things make sense before you step into them, especially in relationships. You are curious but respected for your opinions by people who you sometimes wouldn't even suspect. Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan. Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything. |
Happy birthday to Pete Vere, and happy birthday to me!
So, I have been attending a typical Oklahoma parish. In other words, the music sucks and liturgical abuse runs amuck. (ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST! ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST!).
That's not fair, I shouldn't say that. I know the Ragemonkeys run very orthodox parishes as far as the liturgy is concerned. And better priest and gentlemen are hard to find anywhere.
Anyway The other day, I heard them singing a contemporary Christian song over a karaoke track during the reception of the Eucharist. I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed, but I don't have any definite way of proving it. It's even worse when I have to tolerate singing "Agnus Dei, you take away-ee the sins of the world" every week.
