The Joy of Floats

|

Another article. This one talks about one of the foods I used to enjoy before my gastric bypass surgery. I can't have these like I used to. The experience of an icecream float is still a highlight.

Anybody who knows me, knows that I am a gourmet. That is a person who immensely enjoys food. I watch FoodTV and have a small party in my head when the various cooks on t.v. season the meat and slap it on to a grill making it sing with sizzling delight. It's like the food is saying, "OH YESSSSSSSSSSSSS". It's a beautiful thing. I love how you can take common ingredients and turn them into delicious meals. I even like the science of it all. Learn what an emulsion is and then try and make chocolate ganoche. It's an exciting thing, trust me.

Passion

|

This is an article I wrote for Onerock magazine a while. I'm reprinting it here so that I don't lose it. It's not one of my bests, but I still think it has some 'passion' to it.

The word "passion" brings forth pictures of lovers in an embrace on paper back novel covers that women read, movie screen romance with muscular men and beautiful women with windswept hair. The man gazes lustfully into the woman's eyes and says her name. "Martha!" he says with unmatched passion. "Edward!" she whispers as if she were to swoon away. They kiss passionately and the camera moves to the wind blowing through the sheer curtains in an open window.

Welcome All

|

This will be my new home. As you can see, I haven't got a special template, but I promise that will be changed (hopefully) soon. I hope any of you who are considering making the move to Moveable Type make the jump. I promise, it's better.

Once I figure out what all this stuff does, we'll be in business!

Thanks to RC for helping me out.
